Bakery Building

Restoring stability through strategic execution

Ethos Commercial Advisors led a comprehensive repositioning strategy for the Bakery Building, a historic creative office property in Portland, Oregon, which faced significant vacancy challenges following the COVID-19 pandemic. By combining proactive leasing initiatives, data-driven marketing, and focused tenant retention efforts, Ethos helped ownership restore occupancy and reestablish the building’s market position.

Through targeted advertising, personalized tenant outreach, and a disciplined deal-making approach, Ethos and ownership renewed five key tenants and completed 14 new leases within a 24-month period. Ethos’ efforts resulted in nearly 57,000 square feet of new and renewed leases In total, restoring the building to pre-pandemic occupancy levels and long-term stability.

Central to this success was Ethos’ commitment to managing each transaction from initial inquiry through lease execution with consistent communication, hands-on oversight, and strategic alignment of ownership and tenant objectives.
