Brian Hanson, MREF

Brian Hanson serves as Senior Managing Director, Partner at Ethos Commercial Advisors, specializing in investment sales and leasing. Brian draws on more than two decades of experience, including acquisitions, dispositions, agency leasing and tenant representation, during which time he has successfully completed more than 100 sale transactions with an aggregate value of nearly $600 million and over 200 lease transactions. He combines financial expertise, skilled negotiation, and a tireless work ethic to deliver optimal results for his clients.

Prior to joining Ethos in 2017, Brian worked for local industry leaders in Portland such as ScanlanKemperBard Companies and HFF (now JLL). Earlier in his career, he worked in investment sales and leasing with Massey Knakal Realty Services (now Cushman Wakefield) in New York City where he was awarded the Seventh Annual Michael Fuchs and Aby Rosen PIER Award, recognizing his commitment to the overall values of Passion, Integrity, Excellence and Responsibility.

Brian holds a Master’s Degree in real estate finance at New York University and a Bachelor of Science from Boston University, where he also minored in Spanish and spent a semester studying in Madrid, Spain.

Outside the office, Brian spends time camping, hiking, and traveling with his family and enjoys snowboarding, surfing, and rock climbing.
