Mick Stapleton serves as Director at Ethos Commercial Advisors, where he specializes in originating permanent, construction, and bridge financing for investors, developers, and owner-users. Mick also sources equity for commercial real estate projects across multifamily, office, industrial, retail, hotel, and self-storage properties. Over the course of his career, Mick has facilitated more than $1.5 billion in debt and equity placements, working closely with clients from underwriting through closing to ensure smooth execution and optimal outcomes.
Before joining Ethos, Mick began his career in 2006 with NAI Norris, Beggs & Simpson’s mortgage banking group, which was later acquired by Gantry. Starting as an analyst, he trained under two highly respected industry veterans and ultimately achieved the position of finance officer. Mick’s success has been fueled by deep, long-standing relationships with life insurance companies, FHFA lenders (Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac), CMBS conduits, REITs, pension funds, banks, and credit unions.
Mick graduated from the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, concentrating in Finance and Real Estate, and minoring in Economics. He is actively involved in the industry, having served as President and Vice President of the Oregon Mortgage Bankers Association and participating in NAIOP.
Outside of work, Mick enjoys spending time with family and friends. He also enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest through skiing, hiking, camping, biking, fishing, and golfing. He is a former Eagle Scout, and after college, took on a unique first job, working at a U.S. research station in Antarctica.
